Management Solutions in Ireland.

John Jones Datapac Bob Pindar Nuance and Karen O'Connor DatapacJohn Jones Datapac Bob Pindar Nuance and Karen O'Connor DatapacDatapac, one of Ireland’s largest indigenous ICT solutions providers has announced it signed a reseller agreement with Nuance Communication, Inc., a leading provider of voice and imaging solutions, to distribute Nuance SafeCom solutions in Ireland. A strategic campaign will be launched by both companies to support this agreement with the aim of significantly growing revenues and customers in the Irish market. Datapac is forecasting that the new agreement will increase revenues in its managed print division by €1.1M this year with at least 80 per cent of existing and new customers expected to leverage Nuance print management and cost recovery solutions.

The Nuance secure print management SafeCom solutions are designed to enable organisations to control and reduce print costs while also managing the security of their daily printing, reducing waste and protecting the environment. SafeCom works with all types of printers and MFP devices - in small offices and large enterprises.

Datapac said that using Nuance solutions will add stronger capabilities to its managed print offering, and enable it to advise customers on how to cut operational costs further, gain better control over their printing environments and ensure document confidentiality. Central tracking of all print, copy, scan and e-mail activities, down to individual users or department level, will enable accurate cost allocation both internally and externally.

Datapac pointed out that the solutions also provides customers with the ability to improve the security and confidentiality of company documents, as well as reducing the amount of unwanted or abandoned printing, through the use of proximity cards.

In a move that supports the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) generation, Datapac’s upgraded offering will also make use of QR codes. With mobile pull print, employees scan the code from a screen on an individual printing device using their smart phone. They are then brought to a log-in window which will open up their saved documents for print.

Datapac expects significant growth in its managed print business this year, and the new partnership alone is forecast to add an additional €1.1M in new sales from identified opportunities. Datapac’s managed print team has undergone extensive training by Nuance and have been accredited to the highest levels.

John Jones, managed print sales manager, Datapac said, “Nuance SafeCom solutions will allow us to increase our share of the Irish managed print market this year, as there is undoubtedly a need for more dynamic and intuitive software as organisations’ print requirements evolve. In addition to improving productivity, mobility and security for end-users, SafeCom also makes analysis of the entire print solution easier and helps organisations to meet their environmental targets as well as their cost reduction goals.”

Bob Pindar, channel sales manager, Nuance added, “Datapac has a strong pedigree and foothold in the Irish market, making it an attractive partner for Nuance. We didn’t just want to work with a print specialist but rather an ICT solutions provider with an in-depth understanding of organisations’ IT and business needs. Additionally, Datapac reaches into thousands of organisations throughout Ireland, providing us with the opportunity to grow revenues and increase our market share.”
