Market continuing to grow for flag making.

The usage of flags as a marketing medium is on the increase and one of the reasons for this is the advent of digital printing.

digitally printed flagsdigitally printed flagsAlthough flags have been in use for hundreds of years usually for ceremonies and military purposes the process was a laborious task.

Even as late as the 1960’s and 1970’s it involved a unique set of flat screens to create each colour in the design using screen printing production techniques.

One of the advantages of digital print is that it can cater for one off prints as well as dramatically improving turnaround speeds. It also means that flag makers can now cater for both volume jobs and one off’s economically. This has resulted in companies targeting new revenue streams for flags.

The definition of a flag has also changed. They can now be seen almost everywhere from retail outlets, garages, hotels even airport terminals.

With flags relatively inexpensive to produce it’s no wonder that they have become a vital marketing tool particularly for companies running a small advertising campaign.

And global blue chip giants as well as SMEs are also fast becoming aware of the benefits of using flags to promote their message/brand. Just look at the amount of flags that can be seen outside head offices and company buildings.

In essence, flags provide businesses with an excellent opportunity to make a big, highly colourful statement - and that’s critical in to-days crowded marketplace!

So why does this marketing medium continue to expand? Simple; greater awareness, low cost and meets the demand.
