Latest technology to cater for increased demand of transactional printing services
HP has announced that Trendcommerce (Schweiz) AG, part of the Trendcommerce Group, St. Gallen, Switzerland, plans to install two HP T230 Inkjet Web Presses. The purpose of the new investment is to fulfil the increasing demand for Trendcommerce’s transactional printing services and exploit new business opportunities. The company ordered the two Inkjet Web Presses at drupa 2012.
“Trendcommerce was founded in 1996, and from the beginning we have always focused on providing a personalised marketing message with digital technology,” said Filippo Zanchi, co-founder, part owner and head of operations, Trendcommerce. “Our customers and business prospects are increasingly looking to move all their offset print jobs to one digital supplier offering the right service and utilising the latest technology. These companies want to transfer high-volume jobs which require high productivity, flexibility and fast print speeds, and this is why we chose the HP T230 Inkjet Web Press.”
HP said its HP T-series Inkjet Web Presses are designed to accelerate business growth by delivering high-volume jobs at breakthrough cost. The company maintains that the high-performance, compact press offers fast duplex printing speeds up to 122 metres (400ft) per minute in colour and mono and, with a 520.7-millimetre (20.5inch) print width, provides the flexibility Trendcommerce (Schweiz) AG needs to support multiple applications on coated and uncoated media.
“The extra capacity provided by our new HP T230 presses will enable us to enhance our product offering to our existing customers as well as capture new business opportunities in the financial, insurance and retail sectors,” added Oliver P. Künzler, founder, part owner and head of business management, Trendcommerce Group. “In addition, our already well-established security infrastructure enables us to target government organisations like telecom, tax departments, and electric and water suppliers who send invoices each month to their customers and want to incorporate clever personalised content within these documents.”
Trendcommerce (Schweiz) AG’s current product portfolio includes individual mailings sent to sensitive customer addresses, high-security data processing, sensitive print and packaging services for financial service industries and personalised marketing materials.
“Offset printing is yesterday’s news,” continued Künzler. “ With digital technology making it so easy to implement individual content, special offers or coupons, why wouldn’t a marketer choose to produce compelling, relevant content?. Our customers recognise the importance of creating print that ensures they stand out from the crowd and our HP presses enable us to help them achieve this with high-quality personalised print and a reliable, fast service.”
Trendcommerce Group was an HP customer prior to signing for the two HP Inkjet Web Presses. The company’s large-format printing division, PrintOne AG, installed an HP Designjet L26500 and an HP Scitex LX600 Printer.
Künzler commented:
“Our work in the financial services industry requires security, quality and trust. As such, we pride ourselves in offering a secure and dependable service. Based on our experience as an HP customer, we know that HP will provide the same level of service to us as we grow our business using its technology.”
