RIP software training
Onyx RIP Software is a recognised industry standard controlled by Antalis UK. For those of you who don’t know it, Antalis is one of the leading distributors of communication support materials in the UK and Ireland. They are number two in the world with a turnover of €2.65 billion employing 5,800 people in 43 countries.
In continuation of its training policy for its customers it is adding three training sessions to its existing roster of workshops. Included in these sessions will be topics such as practical applications, finishing and technology for PSPs in the digital print market.
Reducing operator error and creating greater overall efficiency are two of the objectives as a result of automating tasks. Antalis plans to strengthen its position as a leading education provider enabling software users to improve their skills and capabilities with RIP products.
The 18th July is the date of the first workshop and it is designed for intermediate users who are familiar with the basic operation of Onyx and are keen to expand their knowledge further to take advantage of the many extra features that Onyx provides.
The 24th August is the date for the second course. It will be for advanced users who would like to reach a higher level of expertise.
In addition, Antalis will offer Onyx certified training (date TBC), which will cover all aspects of the software and allow attendees to become an Onyx Certified Operator.
All workshops will take place at the Antalis Digital Academy in Coalville, Leicestershire.
Andrew Edwards will be the tutor for these workshops. For over 25 years, he has been working with wide format inkjet and Onyx RIP software (since the early 1990’s). Andrew is currently a Senior Manager at Art Systems, responsible for sales and support of Onyx, HP Latex/UV and Summa products in the UK and is the UK’s only Onyx Certified Trainer.
Giles Bristow, Antalis Digital Support Manager, commented:
“We are delighted to expand our workshops into this new product area which will be of great benefit to our customers, working with a tutor who is the leading expert in this field.”
