HP to unwrap the possibilities for digitally printed packaging at exhibition.
HP has confirmed that it will be showcasing real customer packaging samples at Packaging Innovations 2015 (25th – 26th February, NEC Birmingham). The aim is to demonstrate how HP Indigo and Scitex solutions can help brands deliver high quality, creative marketing campaigns through packaging.
The HP stand (H25), displayed as a ‘Digitally Printed Supermarket’, will feature a broad range of high value, cost effective digitally printed flexible packaging, folding carton, shrink sleeve, and label applications. Packaging for wine bottles, beauty products and pharmaceuticals on show will demonstrate the extensive possibilities of digital printing, from special printing effects, personalisation and high-quality colour reproduction.
Many leading brands now recognise the opportunities enabled by digital printing technology and how utilising digital capabilities to produce packaging can enhance the consumer experience. HP presses, including the HP Indigo 20000 and 30000 Digital Presses, have been designed to allow print service providers (PSPs) to meet the increasing demand for customisation, quicker time to market and reduced inventories – the key benefits of digital printing that brands now value.
“Packaging Innovations is the ideal platform for HP to educate the market as to the capabilities of digital printing to ensure the entire supply chain can take advantage of the digital opportunity,” said Oana Manolache, UK&I Marketing Manager, HP Indigo. “Brands have high expectations. They want increased quantities to be delivered faster and more efficiently, but with the same high quality as ever. HP digital printing technologies offers PSPs a solution for this and we will have many examples of how our customers are already achieving this on display at the show.”
Samples printed on the HP Scitex FB10000 Industrial Press will also be featured on the stand, including retail packaging, POP/POS and other corrugated applications. HP added that the retail market needs solutions that offer full-colour retail-ready packaging, co-packing POP/POS displays, and just-in-time deliveries. HP Scitex presses, said HP, can help corrugated converters to meet these challenges, as well as offering short-run, fast-turnaround services.
