Company using Labelexpo to launch new 600dpi high speed mono range.
A new 600dpi high speed mono range – the IIJ MP500i shown here on a base printer – will be launched at the show.Industrial Inkjet Ltd (IIJ) has confirmed it will be launching a new 600dpi high speed mono range on its Stand C70, Hall 9, at Labelexpo 2015 in Brussels from 29 September to 2 October.
Boasting print widths up to 520mm, the company says these new models are ideally suited to printing of variable text down to 2 point fonts at over 50 metres per minute.
IIJ provides a wide range of inkjet modules ready for installation onto customers’ existing flexo label presses, for example Nilpeter, Mark Andy and Gallus. Combining inkjet as a module onto a flexo press is designed to provide a flexible, reliable and economic alternative to stand-alone inkjet label presses.
Powered by Konica Minolta inkjet technology, the company maintains that the modules offer remarkably high uptime and the longest printhead life in the industry.
Following the launch of its “iS” range of high quality colour inkjet modules in 2014, IIJ has been busy working on its monochrome range. These units print full variable images in black, white, varnish or spot colours, as well as security inks such as IR black or UV-fluorescent. In early 2015 IIJ launched its new “HS” or high-speed models that print high resolution continuously variable text images and barcodes at a sustained speed in excess of 160metres/minute. Now IIJ is extending its mono offering to include 600dpi native resolution.
IIJ tests and approves inks from a wide range of ink suppliers, both UV and water-based, to ensure that the optimum ink is available for every customer’s specific application.
John Corrall, Managing Director and Founder of IIJ, said: “Compared to stand-alone units, our modules provide the lowest cost of ownership, estimated at between 30 and 60 per cent lower than competitors. Combined with a wide choice of inks, from process colour to special effect and invisible security inks, they offer the best break-even point when compared with the cost of flexo print.”
