Roland DG is promising a voyage of discovery for visitors to its booth (Hall 9, Booth E04-1) at drupa, Dusseldorf, where new digital print opportunities offered by one of the world’s leading suppliers of wide format printers for the durable graphics market will be on display.

The company will be showcasing the very latest in its range of durable wide format, LED UV inkjet and digital sublimation print solutions as well as demonstrating the technology’s profit-making potential.

Gillian Montanaro, Head of Marketing, Roland DG EMEA:

“Whilst Roland DG is a global brand we appreciate that there are many print service providers and commercial printers who are yet to discover the benefits our technology can bring to their businesses. At DRUPA we are really looking forward to introducing our devices, inks and software and explaining how cost-effectively and easily commercial print business owners can use a Roland device to expand the range of products and services they offer to their existing customers and to target profitable new markets.”

Hogging the limelight will be the latest addition to Roland’s portfolio of eco-solvent integrated printer/cutters; the TrueVIS VG Series. Available in 64” and 54” widths, the VG Series is the result of Roland’s many years of expertise in the field of integrated print & cut technology, combined with a host of new enhancements. These include four newly developed FlexFireprintheads to deliver precise, high quality print at production speeds and new GREENGUARD Gold certified TrueVIS ink which works in synergy with the printheads to optimise output. New powerful and advanced cutting technology has been added to deliver increased downforce, accuracy and compatibility with a wide range of media. To enhance the user experience, LED lighting illuminates the print and maintenance areas and the wireless Roland DG Mobile Panel enables full remote printer management from the user’s existing iOS, Android smartphone or tablet. The new included VersaWorks Dual RIP software is extremely user-friendly and offers a range of new features to optimise the efficiency and quality of production.

Gillian MontanaroGillian MontanaroRoland DG maintains that with the TrueVIS VG, print businesses can offer customers a host of durable, quality products for outdoor and indoor use, including signs, banners, graphics for walls, windows and vehicles, stickers and decals, customised clothing and much more.

For those interested in print-only devices, Roland’s new 64” SOLJET EJ-640 eco-solvent printer has been designed with the bottom line in mind by delivering cost-efficient and high-performance productivity. It comes with dual staggered printheads, an integrated tri-heater system and strong chassis, built for optimum performance to help businesses working on high-volume output.

At the show, the Roland team will also be running live demonstrations on the new VersaUV LEF-300 LED UV inkjet printer; the largest and most productive of its popular VersaUV series of direct object printers. The LEF-300 allows users to digitally customise merchandise and promotional print products, transforming a wide range of ordinary objects into high-profit personalised items: from mobile phone covers and USB sticks to pens, golf balls and much more.

For print businesses considering diversifying into textile applications such as soft signage, sportswear, apparel, interior decoration or promotional merchandise, Roland’s TexartXT-640 dye-sublimation transfer printer is being billed as ‘the ideal solution’. The XT-640 and a host of sample textile applications will be on the booth for visitors to explore.
