Company unveils plans for exhibition.
Smartbinder PlusIBIS Integrated Bindery Systems, a leading supplier of digital in-line saddle stitching, has confirmed that it will have a live-running system – using patented technology – at Ipex, London’s ExCel, 24 – 29 March (Stand N3–D275). This will be the first time the company has exhibited on its own stand at the show.
IBIS’s said its latest high-speed model, Smart-binder SB-3 ‘Plus HS’, will be producing booklets from a digitally-print roll unwinder/cutter throughout the exhibition.

The SB-3 is fitted with a patented Individual Sheet Gluing (ISG) cold gluing system, which has been developed to replace the need for conventional wire-stitching. IBIS said ISG gluing provides a higher quality bind, and allows the number of pages in each booklet to be continually varied from four pages up to 10mm maximum book thickness without stopping the sheet infeed flow from the web cutter or sheet feeder.
