Antalis honours the elite in superior design and creative print at its annual Review Awards 2014.
‘Cereal Volume 5’, the quarterly travel and lifestyle magazine designed by the Cereal in house design team and printed by London-based Park Communications was named overall winner of the prestigious Review Awards 2014. The announcement was made by Antalis UK, hosts of the annual awards, at a VIP event held at world famous The Ivy restaurant in London on 25th September.
Category winners of the 24th annual Antalis Review awards, which recognise the very best in creative design and printed media, were treated to a VIP tour of London before being driven to the restaurant aboard an iconic Routemaster bus.
This year’s overall winner, Cereal Volume 5 magazine, which also took the best in Magazine & Catalogues category, was chosen by the judges to take the top award for its outstanding photography combined with its simple, clean and pure design. The magazine was printed on Edixion Offset White 300gsm and 140gsm.
The Review Awards judging panel, led by Natalie Thomas, Marketing Manager from Antalis UK, this year comprised Jon Bland, Graphic Designer and Art Director from Manchester design agency Music; Colin Raeburn, Director of Glasgow-based design consultancy Graphical House; Kirsty Whittaker, Designer of brand and communication consultancy NB Studio, London; and Gary Elliot, Group Managing Director from creative printing company Absolute, also based in London.
Commenting on their achievement of being named overall Review Awards Winner 2014, Rosa Parks, Publisher and Editor of Cereal said, “After going through what seemed like a million paper options, we finally decided on an Antalis paper stock - Edixion Offset to be exact - when we first printed Cereal Volume 1. We’ve been keen users and supporters of Antalis since then. We receive so many compliments on our paper stock from our readership for its quality, finish and feel, and it’s a great honour to be the recipient of this year’s overall winner. We will continue to use Antalis for years to come! Thank you!”
