Company waves its magic wand at

Sign & Digital UK 2014 to WOW visitors.

James Anthony James Anthony Once again, another major player in the large format arena, Roland DG UK, has added its name to a host of others, by confirming that this year’s Sign & Digital UK has been its most successful yet. In particular, Roland said that there was a huge amount of interest from visitors to see the show debuts of a number of recently launched machines including the VersaUV LEJ-640F, the VersaUV LEF-20 and the VersaCAMM VS-i.

Rob Goleniowski, Sign and Graphics Business Manager, Roland DG UK said: “We had another great Sign & Digital UK this year with a constantly busy stand, reflecting how our customers know they can rely on us to help them broaden their creativity, open up new revenue streams and maximise return on investment.

“There was particular interest in the new Roland DG VersaUV LEJ-640F flatbed printer, which has only just become commercially available in the UK. Visitors were on the lookout for it and it really drew the crowds to the stand.”

From Rolands perspective, the VersaUV LEJ-640F proves that size really does matter. The machine is capable of printing CMYK plus white and gloss inks onto both rigid and flexible substrates up to 150mm (6 inches) in height and 200 kgs in weight, and offers printers and sign makers the ability to produce a broad selection of applications, including POS displays, packaging prototypes as well as outdoor and indoor signage.

Roland DG also used a little magic to draw in the crowds to see the VersaUV LEF-20, its biggest, fastest and most robust desktop UV machine to date, which was outputting onto an extensive range of different shaped novelty items throughout the show, such as promotional products, souvenirs, giftware, awards, signage, as well as industrial parts and packaging prototypes.

On the stand was Roland DG UK LEF-20 customer and real-life magician, James Anthony who performed spectacular magic tricks using Roland DG branded props.

“James, in his own words, was a ‘magic man who brought a magic machine to print out magical items,’ and along with the LEF-20, he was really a star of the show, amazing the audience and giving away Roland DG boxes of magic tricks, packs of cards and magic wands,” continued Goleniowski.

Summing up Sign & Digital UK 2014, Rob Goleniowski said: “2014 saw Roland DG UK showing one of the widest selections of machines and applications we have ever demonstrated at Sign & Digital UK. It was clear that visitors were looking for solutions that offer them the greatest flexibility - those that give them the freedom to be as creative as they want to be and that add value to a wide range of products. We understand how important this is as it enables printers to differentiate themselves in the market, expand into new markets and add new and strong new revenue streams to their business."
