The Irish Post - the Voice of the Irish in Britain is back!

After Thomas Crosbie Holdings suddenly closed the Irish Post newspaper recently the Irish voice lost its biggest champion serving the Irish community in Britain. Now, after a dramatic intervention by Irish businessman Elgin Loane who purchased the title at the end of September the first edition under its new owner hit the streets on Wednesday, October 19th.

Loane, a Co Cork-born, London-based publisher who has interests in a number of print and media-based businesses throughout the UK said of his recent purchase:

"The Irish Post has a long and proud tradition of serving the expatriate community in Britain for over 40 years and must be continued for the benefit of both the incumbents as well as the growing population of Irish people heading to Britain."

Loane also went on to say that it was his intension to improve the Irish Post’s online offering (www.irishpost.co.uk) as well as maximising the papers future potential through his current offices which are based in London, Birmingham and Manchester.
