Océ Arizona Series UV flatbed printer showcased alongside Zünd cutting system
Océ has announced that its Océ Arizona 360 GT UV flatbed printer will have star billing at free-to-attend open days in Scotland organised in conjunction with ZÜND Plotting Systems. The open days are designed to boost business opportunities for printers.
The two companies will be combining Océ digital printers and ZÜND digital cutting technologies in the events at Systems House, Livingston to demonstrate to visitors how they can streamline workflows, save labour, reduce waste and increase productivity.
Océ, part of the Canon Group, and ZÜND will show how these systems can print and cut virtually everything. From rigid substrates up to two inches thick to flexible roll-mounted vinyls, Océ maintain that an Arizona Series printer will deliver the same quality results every time. It said that the ZÜND G3 system can finish nearly anything printed on an Océ Arizona Series printer.
Dominic Fahy, Business Group Director, Océ Display Graphics and Imaging Supplies, said: “Singularly, they are impressive machines that set the standard in the market for quality. But together we’ll be showing how they can help create innovative applications to drive new business and realise cost savings and productivity improvements. For many years Océ has had a presence in Scotland, which is a very important market, and by showcasing our knowledge and award-winning products, we know the industry here will ultimately benefit. And that’s why we’re happy to share our world-leading expertise in these free events.”
Océ say that the printer offers new print modes designed to boost productivity and application latitude designed to increase users’ signage and display business. This model will be combined with ZÜND S3 digital cutters to showcase a fully integrated, high-speed cutting solution which will offer printers increased workflow speeds, automating finishing and ultimately the opportunity of opening doors to new markets.
Derek Joys, Océ UK Display Graphics Programme Manager added: “This is the first time the Océ Arizona has been on public display in Scotland. There will also be the chance to watch live demonstrations of the ultimate poster printer, the Océ ColorWave 600 Poster Printer. This highly productive and cost-effective point-of-purchase (POP) machine changes the way customers create posters and make money from them. They can use it to increase throughput and reduce production costs for quick-turnaround POP materials as well as offload wide format, short-turnaround jobs to a faster, economical digital printer. It enables customers to react faster to competitors’ offers by printing in-house”
The open days are from 9.30am to 5.00pm from 19th June until 4th July. People planning to attend need to give advance notice of the date, although exact times can be confirmed on the day.
