First demonstrations of new Taopix Portfolio 3.3 live at photokina 2012
UK-based Taopix, the photo merchandise software manufacturer, has launched a new version of its photo software, Taopix Portfolio 3.3, which will debut at photokina 2012 in Cologne this September.
The new software has 50 new features and enhancements for the creation and sale of online photobook and photo gift products and these will be demonstrated live on the companies stand.
These new features are designed to further drive volume sales and increase profitability for photo finishers and digital printers, as well as enhance the overall customer experience.
Portfolio 3.3 has a single prints feature enabling customers to buy individual photo prints. In addition there has been significant upgrades to the Shopping Cart facility to make up-selling more prominent and successful, with enhancements to the Voucher feature now supporting custom scripts for almost unlimited voucher promotions.
James Gray, Taopix CEO commented, "Our business objective has always been to grow our customers' volumes/sales. Taopix Portfolio 3.3 delivers business-enhancing features. Developed following close collaboration with key worldwide users and end customers, it provides market leading product flexibility and revenue generating features to maximise opportunities within photobook and photo gift."
Taopix Portfolio 3.3 is made up of three key solutions:
• Solo: An entry-level B2C model with many features and a clear upgrade path
• Professional: A feature-rich solution designed to facilitate growth through B2B2C partnerships - now widely considered the industry standard
• Enterprise: The premium platform for self-publishing and asset-management connectivity
There is a set of five primary modules that provide 'end to end' functionality: Creator, Designer, Control Centre, Installermaker and Production.
Ensuring compatibility with leading digital printing solutions, Taopix Portfolio 3.3's Production module also offers JDF support.
The Designer module enables end customers to apply page style and background changes to all pages within a photobook. The company explained that this user-friendly tool dramatically increases the opportunity for creativity and personalisation. The module now incorporates a dynamic splash screen background which enables users to host customer promotions and advertising.
The Shopping Centre module simplifies financial transactions with the ability to apply relevant tax rates on individual products within the same order, enabling some to be zero-rated as appropriate. The module also enables end customers to apply the balance of unused gift cards to their account for future use.
Gray concluded: "With so many new features and benefits to demonstrate, we are very excited to present Taopix Portfolio 3.3 at photokina 2012, and invite visitors to come and discover how they can maximise their photo business potential with our technology."
Taopix will be at photokina 2012, 18-23 September – stand H030, Hall 4.1.
