Job Description: Printer/Production assistant & Mac operator

Responsibilities:

The chosen candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing and maintaining the small format production line from receipt of artwork right through to delivery. This includes printing and finishing the job to the highest standard, Trouble shoot print & quality issues, liaising with customers over deadlines, artwork/file issues if arises.
• Operating small format and large format digital printing machines. (Develop 6000, Xerox 250, Latex L25500 amongst others).
• Operating full finishing equipment including guillotine, auto-creaser, booklet maker, laminator and any jobs that require hand finishing.
• Ensuring quality control throughout the production line so every job is delivered to the highest standard with no issues.
• Dealing with customer enquiries over phone & email including job scheduling, timeframes, material and paper stocks.
• Dealing with machine engineers if/when issues arise.

Skills & Qualities:

The chosen candidate will possess the following qualities:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - particularly when working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage with customers in a friendly, patient and helpful manner.
• Works well on his/her own initiative and works well as part of a team.
• Has the ability to multi task and keep good time management.
• Strong working knowledge of both Mac and Pc and good working knowledge of indesign, illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat etc.
• Good working knowledge of small format digital printing machines, SRA3. (not essential)
• Highly driven, motivated and hungry to learn & succeed.
