Dublin SHC Final.

As I write, Ballyboden are looking at the prospect of making it five-in-row for this incredible club in Sunday’s Senior Hurling Championship final against O’Tooles. It’s a mouth watering thought that this club could become the first in 80 years to win five in a row. Managed by Liam Hogan, an Offaly man steeped in hurling tradition, Hogan has been in charge of the club since 1997.

The first victory under his stewardship came in 2007 defeating St. Vincent’s in Parnell Park. The club likes to talk about “the next game” as if everything before has no significance.

Hogan knows that the only thing that counts on Sunday is the spin that they can put on the sliothar in the match on Sunday.

O’Tooles will be a big test for them, and Ballyboden know it only to well. With significant wins over Crokes and St Brigid’s under their belt this is a team that could really put it up to the “Boden Boys”!

So will it be five-in-a-row. Both teams have a great tradition in the game and Sunday’s final hopefully will be a cracking match.

Match details:

Sunday 30th October, Parnell Park, kick off 3.45pm.
