New sales and marketing director

appointed to spearhead the new business.

Kiian Group logoKiian Group logoKiian Group, a leading international supplier of inks for textile and industrial markets, has announced that it will launch Kiian Specialty, a new business within the group at InPrint 2014 (Hannover, Germany, 8th -10th April).

As part of an ongoing growth strategy by the company to better align its ink and screen chemical manufacturing businesses, this development is designed to streamline production operations and ensure a clearer and faster route to market for its products.

Mr Fabio Festorazzi, CEO of Kiian Group will also assume the role of General Manager for Kiian Specialty.

Festorazzi explained, “The launch of Kiian Specialty will meet our objective to better serve our customers and provide them with the best possible products and service. Kiian Group has always had specialty inks for both the textile and industrial markets, so to bring our expertise in line with our new focused direction makes perfect sense. We have invested in recruiting the right people and developing the best products, and we look forward to the success this logical move will make.”

To ensure the success of the new enterprise, Kiian Group has appointed Frank Jellinek to the role of sales and marketing director. A highly experienced ink specialist, Jellinek has an established and proven track record within the specialty chemicals industry. This includes roles spent at Laporte (later Rockwood Industries) and subsequent global sales and business development positions with Flint Ink and Pemco International.

Jellinek is a Dutch national and has worked and studied in various European countries. He holds a Masters Degree in Management from the ESCP business school.

Jellinek commented, "I am delighted to join Kiian at such a positive time for the company. The last few years have seen the traditional screen business live in the shadow of the high growth digital ink segment. Now we have a strategic commitment to clearly focus upon building the specialty side of the business in order to achieve the ambitious targets the company has set itself. In 2014 Kiian Specialty Inks will launch a new benchmark setting inks for textile printing, where the company is already a leading international player. Similarly, on the industrial side we are deploying a number of technological and commercial initiatives that will propel us forward.”

Jellinek will deliver a free-to-attend presentation entitled ‘Slide Decals – The New Frontiers’ on Thursday April 10th from 11.30hrs until 12.00hrs in the InPrint Showcase Theatre (Hall 21). This presentation is designed to explain the benefits afforded by the slide decals decorative process and how the technology is expanding to other market segments such as substrates and objects.
