Company to explore 'almost unlimited'
industrial print opportunities with
software and finishing partners at exhibition.
Duncan SmithCanon has confirmed that it will be teaming up with strategic partners at the inaugural InPrint 2014 (8-10 April 2014, Hannover, Germany) to demonstrate how end-to-end integrated digital workflows can produce high quality, durable, flexible and cost-effective industrial print applications that meet rigorous industry demands.
Visitors to the stand (Hall 21, Stand F10), will have an opportunity to see the Océ Arizona® 480 GT flatbed in action as part of a complete workflow, printing both functional and decorative applications on substrates as diverse as MDF and 3D film to Plexiglas. Partner technology and software from co-exhibitors GFII (software for automation), ERPA (software for packaging), eurolaser (hardware for laser cut and finishing) and Welte (hardware for coating and finishing), will complete the visual workflow line-up by helping to demonstrate the wide-ranging application possibilities for the manufacturing industry.
"Digital printing increases the design freedom of products meaning that printers, and indeed print buyers, are no longer restricted to the maximum five colours used in screen printing. Millions of colours are now at their disposal by adopting the capabilities of digital print," said Duncan Smith, Wide Format Group Director, Canon UK.
"Importantly, as well as allowing for almost unlimited print opportunities, digital production can maintain the strict requirements of industrial applications such as meeting high quality standards and controls and remaining durable over the design-life of the product," added Smith.
