Company to demonstrate its latest new digital wide format printers at show.
ValueJet-VJ426UFMutoh has confirmed its line-up of digital print solutions for sign & display, direct-to-rigid / object, dye sublimation and direct textile applications which it will display at Drupa 2016 (May 31 till June 10) in Hall 9 – booth C22.
At the exhibition, print industry visitors will have a chance to discover the benefits of Mutoh’s made in Japan digital print equipment for short-run and mid-range production as well as for customisation and one-off designs.
During an EMEA première, Mutoh will also display the brand new ValueJet 1638UH, a 64” wide high quality hybrid LED UV printer, for direct printing on a wide variety of rigid and flexible materials.

ValueJet-1638XThis new printer features a dual staggered head setup for increased speed and two LED UV lamps for reduced cure time. The ValueJet 1638UH 64” (165 cm) wide hybrid LED UV printer will print on a wide variety of rigid and flexible materials, including heat-sensitive substrates. It delivers print resolutions up to 1440 x 1440 dpi using Mutoh’s VOC-free LED UV C, M, Y, K, white and varnish inks to produce high quality graphics for short viewing distances. Specialty print finishes are also achievable thanks to custom varnish and embossing possibilities.
Applications include high quality graphics for short viewing distances, such as packaging designs, customised interior decor, trade show graphics, and much more.
ValueJet 426UF Desktop LED UV printer
The ValueJet VJ-426UF, awarded the “best 2015 multi-purpose object printer” by the European Digital Press Association, is a 6-colour (CMYK, White, Varnish) A3+ flatbed LED UV printer. It enables direct full colour printing on a wide variety of solid materials and objects up to a thickness of 7 cm.
The printer is specifically targeted at short-run personalisation of gifts such as pens, phone covers, golf balls, packaging prototypes, awards, specialty industrial items, labels, decals, signs, and many other products.
ValueJet X Series Sign & Display Printers
The ValueJet 1638X (64” – 162 cm) & 2638X (102” – 260 cm) printers, developed for sign & display applications, incorporate two high performance micro piezo heads mounted in a staggered configuration. Both come bundled with Mutoh’s Intelligent Interweaving (i²) & new DropMaster print technology as well as professional RIP software.
ValueJet-2638XEach of the printers can be loaded with Mutoh Eco Ultra or Universal Mild Solvent (UMS) inks to deliver sellable production speeds at 720x720 dpi up to 36 m2/h (VJ-1638X) and 39.0 m2/h (VJ-2638X), whether printing on vinyl or banner.
For its UMS inks, Mutoh recently obtained a pan European Indoor Air Comfort Certificate, which makes the inks particularly suited for the production of certified indoor deco prints.
Mutoh will also display the new ValueJet 1604X budget sign & display printer model featuring high print quality & precision, productivity, a professional standard configuration including a motorised take-up system for rolls up to 30 kg, simple & intuitive operation and last but not least an affordable price.
ValueJet 1938TX Direct Textile printer
ValueJet-1938TXThe VJ-1938TX is a 75" (1910 mm) wide dual staggered head printer specifically targeted at sampling of short run on-demand & local digital production of garments, upholstery, fashion, swimwear, interior deco fabrics, home textiles, flags, to name but a few.
Delivering typical high quality production print speeds up to 40 m2/h, the printer incorporates a sophisticated newly engineered fabric feeding, front & back tensioning and motorised take-up system for media weights up to 100 kg.
